Digital Media Conversion
DIGITAL MEDIA CONVERSION
Time Preservation
Digital Media Conversion takes our older, more outdated ways of capturing memories, such as home movies, film negatives, slides and pictures and creates a digital version that can be stored on a CD/DVD or other storage devices like a USB Drive or media card. Because time moves so quickly, we hope we can assist you in preserving those great memories.
VIDEO TAPE
Video From Tape
Video Tapes in the past have had several formats and sizes. The ones we focus mostly on are VHS, VHS-C, Hi8 and miniDV. Below are our fees for these formats.
$20.00 per two hours of footage
Available digital formats
DVD, mpeg or mp4
USB drive with digital files available on request but the final cost will include the cost of a drive large enough to hold the files.
$5.00 for each additional copy of DVD
REEL TO REEL
8mm or Super 8
This video film format captures images on film that are 8mm wide. This format led the way to home movie making. 8mm will be converted to mp4 format and typically does not have sound. Background music can be added if you'd like.
$10.00 per reel (per 4 min of tape)
Digital Video can be put on DVD or saved to a USB drive. Cost of Drive will be added to price.
OTHER MEDIA
Negatives Slides Photos Cassette Tapes
If you are from the pre-digital picture era, you are familiar with photo negatives, slides and photos. We can take all those formats to produce a digital version as well. Cassette Tapes can also be formatted to a digital audio format. All digitalized images will be put on a USB thumb drive. Cost of drive big enough to hold files will be added to the cost.
